Believing the unbelievable...
...living with the impossible.

What are the common effects experienced during a Near Death Experience and the after-effects post NDE?

It is very hard to describe a Near Death Experience and even find the right language to articulate your feelings or experience. Many people have very profound experiences that change and shape the rest of their lives. Some experiences are very seemingly mundane but still have a profound effect. There are many scientific reasonings and arguements about what Near Death Experiences are, what causes them and what we define as consciousness when you are clinically dead. Regardless of all these ongoing debates, your experience will feel very real to you. The physical, mental and emotional changes after an NDE can sometimes be quite daunting. Some people find that their bodies have somehow been "reset" after being exposed to a strong "light source" reported by many experiencers as thousands of times brighter than the sun but comfortable to look at. Illness and diseases sometimes disappear and the electromagnetic make-up of a body can be completely "rewired" in a person who has had a Near Death Experience. This is often linked to being exposed to this "light source" that is so common throughout many reported experiences. These are just the physical manifestations of an NDE - the mental and emotional changes are often more marked - especially if you experienced a "life review", had an awareness of how your actions impacted others or if you went through some sort of judgement process. Here is a non-exhaustive list of some of the effects experienced during a Near Death Experience and most importantly the after-effects unique to an NDE - similar to other PTSD symptoms...
